Brenda Speer joined Bynum ISD as superintendent in June 2007. Prior to joining BISD she served as principal, assistant principal and teacher for Avalon ISD for 13 years. Mrs. Speer earned her bachelor's from Baylor University, her master of education from Texas A & M, Commerce and superintendent certification from University of Texas at Arlington.

Mrs. Speer and her husband, Keith, have been married for 40 years and reside in Frost, TX. They have three children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
